La Secretaría de Ciencia y Técnica de la FCM y el IHEM invitan a a un nuevo seminario en el contexto del "Ciclo de Visitas Destacadas al IHEM". En esta oportunidad disertará el Dr. Nicolas Blanchard, quien está realizando una visita al IHEM en virtud de un proyecto de cooperación bilateral Argentina-Francia.El seminario se celebrará el día Jueves 23 de Abril a las 11 h en la Sala de Seminarios del IHEM, edificio nuevo.Resumen de la charlaIntravacuolar trafficking of T. gondii parasite antigens critically influences their presentation by MHC IToxoplasma gondii, target effectors to and across the boundary of their parasitophorous vacuole (PV), resulting in host cell subversion and presentation by MHC class I molecules for CD8 T cell recognition. The host-parasite interface comprises the PV limiting membrane and a highly curved, membranous IntraVacuolar Network (IVN) of uncertain function. Using a combination of reverse genetics in the parasite, in vitro tubulation assays and antigen presentation measurements, we dissected how membrane tubules are shaped by the parasite effectors GRA2 and GRA6. We showed that membrane association regulates immunogenicity of the GRA6 protective antigen in infected cells, suggesting that the IVN may play a role in immune modulation.
